Summary: Shall Fire Protection District No. 3 of the Parish of Acadia, State of Louisiana (the “District”), levy and collect an annual parcel fee of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) (the estimated amount reasonably expected to be collected from the levy of the parcel fee for one entire year being $26,000) on each lot, subdivision portion of ground or individual tract in the District upon which is located, either in whole or in part, a residential or commercial structure, whether occupied or unoccupied, for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the year 2019 and ending with the year 2028, for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, improving, maintaining and operating fire protection facilities and equipment, including the cost of obtaining water for fire protection purposes, and all purposes incidental thereto?

Town of Duson Proposition – (New Sales Tax)

Summary: Shall the Town of Duson, State of Louisiana (the “Town”), under the provisions of Act No. 175 of the 2017 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature (the “Act”), and other constitutional and statutory authority, be authorized to levy and collect an additional one percent (1%) (the “Tax”) ($300,000 is expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the Tax for an entire year) upon the sale at retail, use, lease or rental, consumption, and storage for use or consumption, of tangible personal property and on sales of services in the Town, all as defined by law, beginning October 1, 2018 and run in perpetuity, with the proceeds of the Tax (after paying the reasonable and necessary costs and expense of collecting and administering the tax), to be dedicated and used to fund infrastructure and repairs of roads in the Town of Duson as set forth in the Act and authorized to fund the proceeds of the Tax into bonds to be  issued from time to time for such purposes to the extent and in the manner permitted by the laws of Louisiana?
