Election Dates

Election dates are set up a few years in advance. Certain procedures must be followed in order to have an item on the ballot. Special elections may also be called. Even though an election is scheduled, in some cases the election may not be held. This is true if there is an individual qualified to run for a political position and there is no opposition and there is nothing else on the ballot. You may contact your Police Jury to obtain more information.
